basic skin tips

  • Smarten up your digestion by eating the right foods and try to empty your bowels every day. A good digestive system leads to healthy, acne-free skin.
  • Drink a lot of water through the day as water will not only keep your body and skin hydrated, it will also flush out the toxins.
  • Make sure that you have enough fiber in your diet. Eat breads made of whole grains, and include legumes, beans, flax seeds, fruits and vegetables in your diet.
  • Improve your blood circulation. You can do this by exercising every day, stretching, and being more active. You can also get a massage.
  • Include good fats in your diet. You can get this from seafood, flaxseed oil and olive oil.
  • To enhance your skin further, try homemade face recipes and homemade skin recipes that can be made from basic ingredients easily available in your kitchen.
  • Homemade beauty remedies:
  • Honey is known for its rejuvenating and moisturizing properties. Try your own honey bath by mixing dissolving two teaspoons of honey in a cup full of hot water. Mix this in your bath water.
  • For a glowing skin complexion, mix a few drops of lime juice with a spoonful of tomato juice. Apply this on your face and wash off after 15 minutes. This tomato lotion is supposed to be good for reducing enlarged pores.
  • Make your own skin care lotion by grinding a few almonds to a paste and mixing it with mild face cream. Add a few drops of rosewater or a paste made with rose petals. This lotion is known to prevent wrinkles, pimples, blackheads and dryness.
  • Make your own herbal astringent. This is especially effective for those with oily skin. You will need one part sage, one part lemon peel, four parts roses, one part rosemary, four parts chamomile, six parts lemon balm, and vinegar as well as essential oil of rose or lavender. Keep all the herbs in a jar and pour vinegar to soak these. Cover the jar tightly and keep it this way in a war place for a couple of weeks. Then strain the liquid and add some rose water.
  • For hair care, reach out for your regular fix of coffee. Make some strong brew and allow the mixture to cool. Rinse your hair with this tepid coffee brew and then wash your hair after some time with warm water for lustrous, glossy crowning glory.
  • Try these simple homemade beauty remedies for glowing skin and hair.
